Karrinyup Shopping Centre has undergone a transformative $800 million development, nearly doubling in size to accommodate approximately 290 stores. Boasting an impressive lineup of major international and Australian retailers—including Sephora, Zara, H&M, UNIQLO, LEGO, Coco Republic, and Scanlan Theodore—the revitalized Karrinyup Shopping Centre has redefined the shopping experience in Western Australia. 

In the years of planning in the lead up, and throughout this extensive redevelopment, Detail collaborated closely with AMP Capital’s development marketing team to manage public relations, events, and stakeholder communications. 

The first milestone was achieved in July with the grand opening of The Fresh Market and The Loop, Ground Level, introducing over 60 stores featuring premier food brands alongside an urban fashion offering.  

In October, the excitement continued with the launch of The Loop, Level 1, and The Café Terrace, welcoming over 40 new major international and Australian fashion, lifestyle, and beauty retailers.  

The final phase, The West Deck, was unveiled later in October, completing Karrinyup’s leisure, lifestyle, and entertainment precinct. Featuring 20 new dining options, first-to-Perth venues like Archie Brothers and Cirque Electriq, and a flagship HOYTS cinema, The West Deck’s opening was celebrated with a spectacular performance by Eskimo Joe and a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Honourable Premier Mark McGowan. 

Detail’s efforts in repositioning Karrinyup as Perth’s premier lifestyle and fashion destination were recognised with a bronze award at the National 2022 PRIA Golden Target Awards. 

Karrinyup Shopping Centre now stands as a beacon of retail excellence, offering an unparalleled shopping experience and serving as a vibrant community hub in Western Australia.
