Air New Zealand is New Zealand’s national passenger airline providing flights to and from New Zealand, Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner was launched in 2014, with flights between Perth and Auckland.
Detail was engaged to create and manage the international launch event of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Perth Airport. The experience began as key media and guests travelled from Sydney to Perth to mark the inaugural flight. Upon disembarking, they joined guests at the official launch event at Perth Airport. Dignitaries, federal politicians, international and local media, and international trade were among the first to step aboard to view the aircraft and experience its new features. These VIP guests then enjoyed the official launch event hosted within the Virgin lounge, which was converted into a sophisticated Air New Zealand branded space. An event of this scale required keen attention to detail, and a high level of production to ensure that the vision was brought to life whilst adhering to strict airport security procedures.
The outcomes were vast, with the launch event receiving widespread media coverage in key consumer, lifestyle, travel and industry publications across Australia and New Zealand.
